What is facial filler?
Facial fillers (also known as dermal fillers) use a natural gel to smooth out wrinkles, folds or scars to give your face a younger, refreshed more plumped appearance. If the skin on your face has lost its firmness and fullness, a facial filler treatment may be the perfect solution.
Dermal filler is a naturally-occurring hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the face to smooth wrinkles and folds (especially around the nose and mouth). It is also used to plump out scars or dents in the face and to define and enhance lips, reshape the nose, or define and plump out cheeks.
How do fillers work?
Injectable crystal clear biodegradeable gel adds volume to the skin, plumping it out and giving the appearance of a smoother fresher and more youthful surface. Filler smoothes moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This treatment is generally used on the lower face for lines around the nose and mouth and lines around the lips (often called ‘smoker’s lines’). It can also be used to improve the appearance of scars or dents on the face.
What will it involve?
Jacy or Henry will inject small quantities of filler into the areas where you have lines/wrinkles or indents. It should take approximately 20 minutes and the effects are instant The gels are different thicknesses depending on the result desired.
What is the result?
Smoothes out lines and wrinkles, producing an instant effect that will leave your face feeling younger and fresher and looking more youthful than ever before. Most patients need one treatment and the results last about 9 months to 1 year.
How can a facial filler treatment help me?
Dermal fillers can reduce the visibility of wrinkles, creases and lines around the following areas: Forehead * Nose * Mouth * Cheeks
Are dermal fillers safe?
Yes, as long as they are administered by a trained medical professional. The hyaluronic gel is completely natural, and over time, the filler will slowly dissolve, causing no harm to you.
What are the possible side effects?
Most side effects are mild and temporary e.g. redness, pain, swelling.
