Clare qualified from Birmingham dental hospital as a hygienist in 2001 having previously worked as a dental nurse in Shoreham for 3 years. Clare joined us in 2010.
Since joining us Clare has had a beautiful baby girl and is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her son in July 2016.
Outside of dentistry Clare enjoys riding her horse and travel and has visited South Africa, where she went cage diving with sharks!
Lucy NeshanGDC 244722 Dental Hygienist & Therapist
Once she completed her A-levels, Lucy decided to undertake dental nurse training at Birmingham Dental Hospital. Working at the hospital allowed her to gain experience every department to gain a good grounding in all aspects of dentistry and decided she wanted to be more hands-on by treating patients.
Lucy qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from the University of Sheffield in 2013 and then went on to complete a vocational training year in Birmingham where she received a certificate of excellence. Lucy is dedicated to helping patients improve their oral hygiene, tailoring her advice and gentle treatment to the needs and tolerances of each patient she meets.
As a dental therapist, she is also able to provide fillings on adults and children as well as extractions on primary teeth. She attends courses and lectures on a regular basis to keep up to date with the latest advances.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves going on long walks with her lovely Labrador Jess! She is also a big fan of dance and theatre.
Louisa SuttonGDC 265243 Dental Hygienist
Louisa qualified as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist at Teesside University with a first class honours degree and was awarded Best Overall Student in Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
Her philosophy as a Dental Hygienist is to provide patients with tailored treatment and advice, enabling patients to achieve effective oral hygiene routines at home and maintain optimum oral health. She is trained in the most up to date methods of treating gum disease including Guided Biofilm Removal Therapy using Airflow which is a new, very effective and comfortable treatment. She is experienced in caring for patients who have complex gum conditions.
Louisa grew up and went to school in Sussex, and in her spare time is a keen horse rider, county hockey player and loves to bake.
Louisa will be working with us on a Thursday afternoon from 2pm till 7pm.
