“My first love isn’t teeth; it’s the people they belong to. That’s the reason I love being a dentist. Being dentally phobic myself as a teenager, I make great efforts to ensure everyone, but particularly children, enjoy their visits as much as possible. Nervous or apprehensive patients of any age are treated with kindness, respect, understanding and patience. The atmosphere in the surgery is relaxed friendly and informal. You will always hear more laughing than drilling!
I have a keen interest and considerable experience in cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening and aesthetic bonding techniques. I use tooth coloured fillings which look good and help strengthen your teeth.
Jo has two great children Harry and Katie. She loves spending time with them especially travelling and skiing. She has recently discovered tennis and is a very enthusiastic but technically inept photographer.

“I found my inspiration in my father, working as a Saturday helper, until finally I just wanted to pick up the instruments and do it myself. He made me realise that dentistry could be humane, friendly, very creative and satisfying. It has been my mission to help my patients gain control of their own dental health. I hope to give them the information they need and the confidence to use it. Together we try to work and find the best way forward taking into account the patient’s preferences, time commitments and finances out of a huge range of possibilities. Being here for over twenty five years has given me a marvellous opportunity to get to know my patients, their strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes and hopes and fears”

“I am extremely dedicated to providing high standards of clinical dentistry and excellent patient care in a friendly environment.
My philosophy is ‘prevention is better than cure’. I encourage and educate my patients enabling them to keep their mouths healthy and disease free.
I am interested and experienced in all aspects of dentistry, in particular the treatment of nervous patients. It’s the best feeling in the world to be able to help an anxious patient, who has possibly avoided going to the dentist for many years, build their trust in me and helping them gain confidence and restoring their smile!”

“I love dentistry and I strive for excellence in everything I do, from the simplest routine examinations to very complex cosmetic work. I have high clinical standards and a wealth of experience. I am committed to helping you have a healthy mouth, free from tooth decay and gum disease.
My areas of particular interest and skill are in cosmetic dentistry, including tooth whitening and all ceramic crowns which make teeth stronger and look very natural. I understand how the appearance of your teeth can greatly affect the way you feel about yourself. If you are at all self conscious about your smile, please do ask. I can advise you the best way to get the result you are after.
